Meet your 26/27 Board Members

Meet the dedicated volunteers who guide White Oak Youth Cheer.

Board Member 1
Chelsea Garcia
Commissioner

Hi! My name is Chelsea Garcia, and I'm proud to serve as the Commissioner of WOYC.

I'm a mom to a busy, love-filled family of six, plus our dog, Diesel. This is my third season as commissioner and my sixth year coaching in this league, and it has truly been a blessing to watch WOYC grow and thrive year after year.

I'm a White Oak graduate (Class of 2011), and now all four of my children attend White Oak as well—making this community incredibly special to me. Over the years, I've coached cheer, softball, basketball, and even attempted soccer once (😄), but WOYC has truly captured my heart. In addition to serving as commissioner, I also coach our 5/6 squad, allowing me to stay closely connected to our athletes and families.

Outside of WOYC, I own and operate my small business, Garcia Goodies & Co., which I've proudly run for the past two years. Through my experiences as a coach, commissioner, business owner, and parent, I've learned the importance of leadership, organization, communication, and community. I am confident in my ability to continue guiding this organization forward while keeping it a positive, supportive, and thriving environment for our athletes and families.

Board Member 2

Chelsea Bratcher
Co-Commissioner

Hello! My name is Chelsea Bratcher and I am honored to serve as Co-Commissioner of our White Oak Youth Cheer League and bring both experience and dedication to this role.

As a wife and proud parent of three children, that has given me a strong understanding of the importance of teamwork, communication, and youth development both on and off the field.

I have coached cheer for the past five years now, gaining hands-on experience in skill development, athlete safety, team building, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for all participants. Throughout my coaching career, I have worked closely with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches to ensure our program remains organized, supportive, and focused on growth and sportsmanship.

As Co-Commissioner and 3/4 coach, I am able to combine real coaching experience with a parent's perspective and a strong commitment to the success of our program. I am passionate about supporting coaches, advocating for our athletes, and helping the cheer program continue to grow in a positive and structured way!

Makenzi Ross
Makenzi Ross
Treasurer

Our family has strong ties to the White Oak community. My husband is a White Oak graduate and 13-year Roughneck. Together, we adopted our daughter, Reese, who is the light of our lives. Reese is currently in kindergarten and will be entering 1st grade for the 2026–2027 White Oak Youth Cheer season, making our involvement especially meaningful to our family.

I work alongside my husband at Ross Plumbing and also own Weeping Willow Candle Co. This is my first year serving as Treasurer on the White Oak Youth Cheer Board, after previously serving as the Flag Representative.

Since joining the board, I have assisted with fundraising efforts, supported the league throughout the season and off-season, contributed ideas for the upcoming year, helped with website design, and supported financial organization and money management. I love being part of such a growing league and look forward to everything we have planned for our athletes. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Board Member 4

Jennifer Barnett
Secretary

Hi friends! My name is Jennifer Barnett, and I'm married to my husband, Robert. We have two daughters, Makenna and Fynnlee. Makenna is a 2025 graduate of White Oak High School and was also a White Oak Youth Cheerleader, making our family's connection to this organization especially meaningful. Fynnlee is currently in first grade, will be entering second grade next year, and this is her third year cheering with White Oak Youth Cheer.

I have been proud to serve on the White Oak Youth Cheer Board for the past two years as Secretary. Professionally, I am the Branch Manager of VeraBank in White Oak, which allows me to bring strong organizational skills, leadership, and financial experience to the board. I enjoy contributing new ideas, fundraising opportunities, and ways to help our league continue to grow while always keeping what's best for our athletes at the forefront.

I am so grateful to be part of a community that truly embodies family, and I'm always happy to help in any way I can!

Board Member 5
Brittany Collins
Member at Large

Hey y'all! My name is Brittany Collins and I am one of your 2026 members at large.

I found my way to the board last year by stepping in as the 4-5 representative.  I look forward to being an active member of the board by sharing ideas and being a helpful hand while growing the organization and making a difference in the community.

I have two Roughnecks that keep our schedules full and the adventures coming. You may find us under the Friday Night Lights dancing to the beat (tubas are a fave 😉), Saturdays at the stadium offering loud chants or weekdays supporting a boy in blue corduroy as he competes in events and forums.

Our roots are here in East Texas and we are proud to be Roughnecks!!

Board Member 6
Bri Stride
Member at Large

Hi, I'm Bri Stride, a proud mom of five—plus our dog, Luna—and wife to my husband, David, who was born and raised in our community. This is my third and final season coaching with the program, and I currently serve as a Member at Large after previously serving as Secretary. Coaching has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and I love helping these girls grow into confident, resilient individuals.

This season is especially exciting for our family as our daughter heads into 6th grade, our son Abel begins his first year of tackle football, and we look forward to the day our youngest can join the program.

I truly cherish coaching, especially choreographing routines and teaching teamwork, accountability, and encouragement—lessons that extend far beyond the football stadium. I was a cheerleader growing up, and that foundation, along with my professional work supporting cheer, gymnastics, and swim programs worldwide, has shaped my passion and perspective as a Coach.

Board Member 7
Flag Rep
Tamara Ott

My name is Tamara Ott. This is my 1st year to be on the board as Flag Representative. I was born and raised in White Oak, and am still proud to call this community home.  I graduated in 2014 as a 13-year Roughneck and later married my husband, Zach, a 2011 White Oak alumnus. Together, we're raising our two daughters Kasen and McKenna, who are truly the heart of everything we do.

I own a hair salon that reflects my passion for creativity, connection, and helping people feel confident in their own skin. When I'm not at the salon, you'll usually find me outside with my family—golfing, hunting, or just soaking up time together.
I believe in hard work, staying grounded, and building a life rooted in family, faith, and the place that raised

3/4 Rep

Natasha Palmer

Hi I'm Natasha Palmer and I am the 3/4 representative for this upcoming season!

I came to White Oak with my husband who is a roughneck grad of '08. We have two kids that attend White Oak. Our daughter Addi is going on her fourth season with Lil Neck cheer. I am excited to serve on the board and be part of this organization that has brought our girl so much joy and us through watching her shine.

Outside of running our kids between various activities I work as a pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant and have done that for 14 years.

I enjoy helping kids grow and reach their highest level they can. I am excited to be able to do that at work and in our community this season.

Rachel Ochoa
Rachel Ochoa
5/6 Rep

Hello, I'm Rachel Ochoa, and I am thrilled to serve as the 5/6 team representative this year. I bring experience both as a league board member and as a parent. My granddaughter has cheered for WOYC for five years, and I've been the league treasurer for the past two years. This year, I wanted to get more involved directly with our team, especially since it's my oldest granddaughter Layla's last season with us. I look forward to making this year memorable for everyone.

Family is at the heart of everything I do. I am the proud mother of three grown children. My daughter Chelsea is both the 5/6 coach and our league commissioner. I'm also known as "Rae Rae" to my six amazing grandchildren. Supporting my grandchildren's interests means I spend a lot of time at football, soccer, softball, and baseball fields, and I love every moment.

Professionally, I manage a small, closed member credit union. This background has provided me with the organizational and financial skills to help write bylaws and keep track of league finances in previous years as well as allowing me to help our league set standards and achieve the goals we have set each year.

I believe board members should support coaches and athletes by cheering them on, while also being fair, impartial, and financially responsible. As your representative, I hope to be an advocate for the parents and the community.

This season, my goal is to help strengthen communication between parents and coaches, so everyone feels heard and supported. I'm excited to help our cheerleaders develop their skills and build lasting friendships. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. I am here to support you, and I can't wait to continue working together for a fantastic season!
